Oil prices rose on Tuesday, with initial oil inventories forecast, and Brent crude futures rose 3.1% to $ 50.10 a barrel.
Nymex crude for September delivery rose 3.3 percent to $ 47.87.
The US Petroleum Institute is expected to issue preliminary estimates of US oil inventories later in the day.
