Oil prices rose on Friday, to a two-month high, and Brent crude for September delivery rose 1.9% to $ 52.45 a barrel.
Nymex crude futures rose 1.4% to $ 49.71 a barrel, marking the biggest weekly gain this year.
US oil drilling platforms increased by two platforms to 766 platforms during the week ending yesterday.
