Oil prices rose on Wednesday, weighed down by falling US oil inventories, and the price of Brent crude futures rose by 1.2% to 52.49 dollars a barrel, according to Mubasher.
Nymex crude for October delivery rose 1.1% to $ 48.36 a barrel.
US oil inventories fell by 3.3 million barrels during the week ending August 18, and US gasoline inventories fell by 1.4 million barrels during the same period, according to data released on Wednesday.
