Gold prices fell on Tuesday, and gold futures fell by 0.09% to $ 1297.7 an ounce, as the Fed chairman’s announcement is awaited , according to a report published by Mubasher.
The spot price of precious metal fell by 0.08% at $ 1293.5 an ounce.
The new Fed chairman, Jerome Powell, is giving his testimony to the Senate Banking Committee.
Powell will take up in February, replacing Janet Yellen, according to Mubasher.
