Sources from the Libyan Red Crescent told the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli, which operates from Cairo, that 19 bodies were found in the Libyan desert area between Tobruk and Aghdabia.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a statement that they were probably killed while attempting illegal immigration.
According to the statement, the identity of seven people has been confirmed so far, from their identity cards as Egyptian nationality, while the rest of the bodies are being checked
