Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has decided to ban the importation and manufacture of non-energy-saving lamps from August 1 to activate the energy efficiency program adopted by the government last March, according to Kuwait News Agency .
The support of electricity cost the state about four billion Kuwaiti dinars in 2015, which required the start of measures to rationalize consumption urgently, according to Fahad al-Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary and Deputy Director General of Standards Affairs at the General Authority for Industry in Kuwait.
