Oil prices rose on Friday, with Brent crude futures up 0.02% to $ 48.43 a barrel as investors were optimistic about global demand for crude.
Nymex crude futures rose $ 0.04 to $ 48.43 a barrel.
The International Energy Agency raised its estimate of demand for crude, in its monthly report yesterday, by 100 thousand barrels per day, to 1.4 million barrels per day.
