According to the World Gold Council report, net purchases by central banks of the precious metal reached 94.5 tons in the second quarter of this year, an increase of 20% over the same period of 2016.
According to the report, the United States kept the top of the list of the world’s highest gold reserves by 8.13 thousand tons by the end of June 2017, equivalent to 75% of the total international reserves.
Saudi Arabia ranked first Arab 16 world in terms of reserves of gold at 322.9 tons.
