Department of Energy to reduce 22% energy consumption and 32% reduction in water consumption by 2030

The launch of the Abu Dhabi Energy ervices Company (ADES), as well as the ambitious plans such as the Abu Dhabi Demand Side Management and Energy Rationalization Strategy 2030, have brought about an abundance of new large-scale retrofitting and energy efficiency projects to the emirate.

Officially supported and endorsed by Abu Dhabi Energy Services Company (ADES), the Retrofit Tech Abu Dhabi Summit which will take place next week from 7 – 8 September 2021 at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers
will gather top stakeholders across the Retrofitting, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability sectors together to discuss these exciting visions and learn more about the upcoming projects.

Ramiz Hamdan Ragheb Alaileh, Sustainability & Energy Efficiency Director at Abu Dhabi Department of Energy will provide the first keynote presentation on the first day of the summit addressing the Abu Dhabi DSM Strategy.

Commenting on the summit, Mr. Alaileh said: _”With the COP26 summit taking place later this year, it’s vital that we show how Abu Dhabi is committed to improving the carbon performance of its buildings and driving its energy efficiency and sustainability agenda. We designed the Building Retrofit programme as part of Abu Dhabi’s Demand Side Management and Energy Rationalisation Strategy 2030, which aims for a 22% reduction in energy consumption and a 32% reduction in water consumption by 2030.”_

Khalid Al Qubaisi, the newly appointed CEO of Abu Dhabi Energy Services (ADES) will also present a keynote presentation to provide an overview on ADES’ upcoming projects in the Emirate.
