“Oman-Egypt: Land of Opportunities” Conference Kicks Off with Wide Attendance from Government Officials and Investors

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo, in cooperation with Black Diamond Conferences and Exhibitions, launched the fourth edition of “The Investor” conference today, Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Giza Palace Hotel in Sheikh Zayed City. The conference, held on the sidelines of Oman’s National Day celebrations, saw high-level participation from senior officials and investors from both Oman and Egypt.
This year’s conference, themed “Oman-Egypt: Land of Opportunities – Integration, Not Competition,” was attended by a large number of Omani economic leaders, including: Mr. Ghassan Al-Maawali, representative of the integrated global logistics group ASYAD; Mr. Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Kindi, CEO of the “Invest in Oman” platform at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Shukaili, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
Representing the Sultanate of Oman are Dr. Nimatullah bint Shuwaird Al Yaqoubi, representing the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism; Ms. Raya bint Salem Al Maskari, Assistant Director of the Tourism Marketing Department; and Mr. Faisal Al Riyami, representing the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
From the Egyptian side, a select group of senior officials, business leaders, real estate developers, and investors are attending to discuss prospects for joint investment in the real estate, tourism, transportation, logistics, food security, agriculture, and fisheries sectors.
His Excellency Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to Cairo, stated that the conference is an important platform for strengthening partnerships between investors in both countries. He emphasized that the Sultanate of Oman possesses a stable economic environment and offers extensive investment incentives, including tax breaks, ease of doing business, and legislative amendments that support foreign investment.
Al Rahbi further explained that the Omani economy enjoys strong and stable performance. Egypt achieved GDP growth of 1.3% this year, with inflation falling to 0.6%, and a fiscal surplus of 1.3% of GDP. Furthermore, it has allowed 100% foreign ownership across various sectors.
Engineer Ahmed Sabour, Secretary General of The Investor Conferences, affirmed that the economic visions of Egypt 2030 and Oman 2040 share key objectives, most notably enhancing competitiveness, improving the business environment, developing entrepreneurship, transitioning to a knowledge-based economy, and expanding financial inclusion.
Sabour indicated that the conference focuses on highlighting promising investment opportunities in both countries, particularly in the real estate and tourism sectors, while also promoting cooperation in smart city development, such as the New Administrative Capital and Sultan Haitham City. He emphasized that Egyptian developers possess extensive experience in implementing fourth-generation cities, expertise that can contribute to supporting urban expansion in the Sultanate of Oman.
Journalist Ahmed Abu Raya, CEO of Black Diamond, expressed his delight at organizing the fourth edition of the conference in cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman. He emphasized that this edition will showcase significant investment opportunities in the ports, transportation, logistics, tourism, real estate, and food security sectors.
Abu Raya added that the strong attendance from both the public and private sectors guarantees tangible results. This will be achieved by clearly presenting opportunities, discussing challenges, and finding practical solutions, thus fostering joint projects that contribute to supporting trade and investment between Egypt and Oman.
