Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said in a statement on Monday that five areas in the Eastern Desert and Sinai were auctioned in Bid No. (1) of 2017, which was launched in January 2017, to search for and exploit gold and its accompanying metals.
“The regions of Bockarie and Um Samra were awarded to Resolut Egypt Ltd. and Umm Al Rous to Veritas Mining Ltd.,” according to the report of the Chairman of the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority Omar Taima.
The Umm Oud and Hanjalia area was awarded to the East Gas Company and the Dahab area, which was awarded to Ghassan Saban for Spanish investments.
