Oil prices rose on Thursday, with Brent crude futures up 0.8% to $ 53.11 a barrel.
Oil prices rose on the back of falling in the US inventories of crude, which fell by 6.5 million barrels during the week ending August 4 to 475.4 million barrels.
Nymex crude futures were up 0.6 at $ 49.84 a barrel.
