Oil prices rose on Friday, and Brent crude futures rose by 1.2% to $ 60.01 a barrel, above $ 60 for the first time since July 2015, according to a report published by Mubasher.
Oil prices were affected by positive announcements on the extension of the agreement to cut crude production, and the price of Nymex crude contracts rose about 1.6% to 53.46 dollars a barrel.
“The announcement by Saudi Arabia and Russia of their full support for the extension of the production reduction agreement post March2018 removes the foggy situation ahead of the OPEC meeting next month,” said OPEC Secretary-General Mohammad Barkindo.
