RetrofitTech UAE Summit & Awards was officially supported by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Etihad ESCO and TAQA
TI and was inaugurated with a keynote address by H.E. Ahmed Al Muhairbi, Secretary General, Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.
The keynote address was followed by two presentations delivered by Ali Al-Jassem and Aref Abouzahr on the role of Etihad in DSM Implementation and the implementation of DSM Strategy 2030.
The summit was divided into two streams; The strategic management stream and the technical innovation stream. The first stream included two panel discussions, the first one tackled the innovative solutions for the challenges facing the retrofit industry and was moderated by Andrea Di Gregorio. As for the panelist, it included Aref Abu Zahr, Rashid Al Noori, Alexander J. Banz, Ivano Ianelli and Saeed Al Abbar. Joyce Honeine moderated the second panel discussing how can the industry increase awareness of the need to retrofit, the panelist was composed of Faisal Ali Hassan Rashid, Kathleen Gaffney, Tamara Withers, Mike Pidgeon and James Grinnell.
The technical innovation stream received also a great success with Prof. Bassam Abu-Hijleh, Bachir Rajji, Mohiy Sowilam, Sandrine Le Biavant and Rohit Salunke delivering a hotel operator’s panel discussion on how to reduce operating costs and improve sustainable performance through ECMs. Ali AlSuwaidi moderated the second panel discussion titled “Overview on the increasing demand for sustainable and cost effective FM solutions and innovations”, the panelist was composed of Bastiaan de Groot, Sandrine Le Biavant, Abdulla Al Wahedi and Mathieu Côte.

The summit included a networking lunch that brought together all attendees, speakers and sponsors in a professional friendly atmosphere.
