Ajman Tourism Development Department Give a Lecture on Tourism Marketing to Students of the Middlesex University Dubai

The Ajman Tourism Development Department, in collaboration with Middlesex University Dubai, held a lecture on tourism marketing strategiesat the headquarters of the Middlesex University Dubaiin the presence of over 100 International Tourism Management students from different nationalities and a number of faculty members.

 

The lecture was delivered by HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of Ajman Tourism Development Department, and aimed to review the students’ ideas and encourage their involvement in the planning of tourism marketing strategies through a series of brainstorming sessions and discussed the main marketing tools in line with the country’s strategy and aspirations to achieve overall development in all sectors and to continually improve its global ranking.

 

Members of the ATDD delegation were welcomed by Dr. Cody Morris Paris, Deputy Director of Middlesex University Dubai, and Dr. Nathalie de Groot-van Zanten, Marketing Lecturer, ahead of the lecture which was part of the ATDD’s strategy to highlight the main components of tourism in the UAE and to promote the tourist attractions in the country using the best practices, in line with the country’s vision and strategy.

 

Faisal Al Nuaimi detailed the tourism marketing tools used for the UAE. He talked about how to promote the country’s tourist attractions and the main components of tourism. He explained why the tour operators seek to promote the places of tourist interest in the UAE and to continue to establish its position as a leading tourism destination

 

Addressing the students, Al Nuaimi said: “At the core of our mission is a commitment to make the UAE one of the top tourism destinations and business hubs in the world. It is our duty and obligation to pass on this mission to future generations. Through meetings with students, we aim to discuss ideas of interest to young people and students who have forward-thinking and ambition. We count on them as they are the future generations who will lead the way to success”.

 

“Through such lectures, we are looking forward to developing policies and implementing them on the ground. These plans are related to tourism marketing and the provision of all the needs for tourists and visitors in the UAE, such as the accommodation options. We need to receive suggestions from students about the tourist places and landmarks they think a tourist may like to see and we will review their suggestions regarding the preferred modes of transportation for tourists during city sightseeing. We will use their suggestions for development purposes, with the ultimate goal of making the UAE one of the destinations of choice for tourists from around the world”, he concluded
