Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the signing ceremony of 13 agreements and MoUs between the UAE and China in presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping in Abu Dhabi.
The agreements are part of a drive to boost the strategic partnership between the UAE and China, and enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors. The agreements covered various sectors including culture, energy, economy, e-commerce, trade, environment, agriculture, customs, FinTech, finance, and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on China’s Belt and Road initiative.
The agreement signing ceremony was attended by H.H. Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; National Security Advisor His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Chairman of the Department of Transport H.H. Sheikh Diab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Minister of State for Tolerance H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan; Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority; and Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director of Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
