Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met this evening with ambassadors, overseas national representatives, and heads of UAE diplomatic delegations in Arab and international organisations, who participated in the 11th summit organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation from 9th to 13th April.
Held at the Etihad Museum Conference Hall in the Jumeirah area, Dubai, the meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash. according to a press .release published by Dubai Government Media Office
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed his gusts and expressed his happiness and pride over the idea of organising the the 11th summit, which is sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, for ambassadors and overseas UAE representatives.
He urged them to advocates goodness and peace for the country and people, as they are the eyes of their leadership in the countries where they work. “You should always hold onto the virtues, morals, values and principles of your country, which can only be the values of tolerance, love of goodness, peace, charity and openness towards others, while understanding them without bigotry or disregard for their geographic, religious or racial identity,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
Sheikh Mohammed directed the ambassadors to promote their country in friendly nations and be the best representatives for their people and leadership, which cares for them and follows their daily activities and efforts to raise the stature of the UAE, establish its good reputation and promote its social civilization, capabilities, human energies, and sustainable development projects in different parts of the country.
His Highness asked the heads of diplomatic delegations and the country’s overseas representatives to oversee the condition of UAE citizens in their respective countries, especially those with illnesses or school and university students, businessmen and tourists so as to ensure their wellbeing and support them whenever they needed.
“You must continuously build bridges between your embassies and our citizens in brotherly and friendly countries, for that is your duty and you know your duty well. As a leadership, we care for the safety and happiness of the sons and daughters of our people, both inside and outside the country,” said His Highness while emphasizing important national and humanitarian issues.
Sheikh Mohammed also stressed that people in the UAE want their country to become a perfect model for the region, with all the right qualities and abilities. He added that the Emirati people are the “soft power,” the main factor in promoting and introducing the country as one full of qualified people with foresight, while holding onto the solid political and humanitarian principles.
“I am proud of what was achieved for our people through our many accomplishments, and today, we visited the non-military Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Al Dhafra Region, where we viewed this vital national accomplishment. I also met the nation’s youth, who were trained to operate and manage this plant. I thank Allah Almighty for I was relieved to find the youthful national citizens were serious about their education and training, therefore, achieving the standard of international scientists and experts,” His Highness added.
His Highness also praised the performance of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his assistants. Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash highlighted for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the highly positive energy of Abdullah bin Zayed, underlining his desire to achieve his goals and convey the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Director General of His Highness The Ruler of Dubai’s Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Mohammed Abdullah Al Raisi, Director-General of Dubai’s Protocol and Hospitality Department Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman as well as a number of heads of department and senior employees at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation.
