In line with the efforts to apply the pillars of the UAE Strategy for Government Services, the UAE government announced the adoption of the Blockchain technology to provide ratification services at the Ministry of Justice. The UAE Strategy for Government Services was approved by the UAE Cabinet, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of providing advanced digital services tailored to meet customers’ needs, anywhere anytime.
The project reflects the directives of the UAE government to develop its various sectors in line with global digital changes, in a way that contributes to saving time, effort and money, promote transparency and control of government services provisions.
The Ministry of Justice took the initiative to develop its system and provide digital services faster, easier, and safer by employing the blockchain technology in digital authentication, while securing data privacy.
His Excellency Mohammed Bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services of the Government of the UAE, highlighted the significance of exerting efforts and forging partnerships with various entities to implement the pillars and objectives of the UAE Strategy for Government Services, thus developing a new generation of future government services. HE hailed the efforts of the Ministry of Justice aiming to accelerate services’ digital transformation, facilitate customers’ journey and enable them to complete their prosedures easily, seamlessly and quickly.
HE Bin Taliah added that the UAE government has adopted robust measures to support entities and enable them to participate in designing the future of government services, accelerate digital transformation, and innovate solutions based on future technology to ensure the provision of the best services to customers. He pinpointed that work is going on steadily to enhance the readiness of government entities and their ability to achieve the strategic goals of the UAE.
The new e-notary system is an essential component of the remote litigation system, one of the most prominent achievements in the judicial sector in the UAE. This sector has witnessed sustainable development, within the efforts of the UAE to curb the spread of COVID-19. The Ministry of Justice, courts and federal prosecutions availed the use of e-systems to complete judicial processes and all the related transactions remotely, smoothly and quickly within a state-of-the-art judicial system.
