Dubai Sports Council (DSC) organized Dubai International Football Academies Forum at Dubai Design District, under title “Exchange of Experiences to develop Sports Talents”, and in the presence of prominent experts, specialists & coaches from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, AC Milan, Cruzeiro, Valladolid and Celta VigoClubs.
The Football Academies Forum is held in the line with DSC’s efforts to scout & boost technical levels of sports talents and as part of the Council’s strategic plan to attain excellence & sports achievements.
The Forum was addressed by representatives from the most eminent football academies in the world; top of whom are Mark Viñals, the Officer of Training Strategy in Barcelona Club of Spain / Lorenzo Mondini, Coach of A C Milan Club of Italy / Jose Vargueras Martinez, Assistant Coach of Real Madrid Club of Spain / Jack Wooster, the Sports Programs’ Officer in Chelsea Club of England / Roberto Paraga, Manager of Football Academy in Cruzario Club from Brazil / Diego Lopez, Manager of Valladolid Club’s Academy / Luis Carlos Salvador Martinez, Assistant Coach of Celta Vigo Club from Spain.
The event was arranged in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Salem Al-Mahri, Director of Sports Development Dept. in DSC / Managers andSupervisors of football academies in Dubai clubs.
The first session of the Forum was addressed by Roberto Braga and Diego Lopez and it dealt withthe impact of the football philosophy, style of play, academies’ strategy & talents’ programs.
The second session, under title “Exchange of Experiences to develop Sports Talents”, was addressed by Mark Viñals who talked on the elite’s programs & talents scouting / Lorenzo Mondini, who reviewed ways to qualify talents individually. Jose Vargueras Martinez discussed the styles of boosting & managing talents’ skills regarding analysis of matches & individual performance. Luis Carlos Salvador Martinez spoke about the development of the culture of victory & distinctive performance, while Jack Wooster unveiled ways of designing the content of the juniors’ coaching programs.
The Forum was held with intensive presence of representatives from local & international clubs, since it gathered various football schools and became a dialogue session to exchange international visions & experiences aiming to provide unique opportunities for local clubs’ members to acquire utmost benefits whether in the technical, administrative or organizational fields,in such way that conforms to DSC’s goals to enhance & develop the academies & juniors sector in clubs.
DSC, since its foundation, is keen to launch fruitful programs & initiatives to develop academies & juniors field through providing convenient atmosphere to scout & boost technical levels of talents, as per the best international standards.
DSC’s efforts comprise several events & championships; the most eminent of which are: Dubai Open Football Academies Tournament, which is organized annually by DSC with participation of thousands of junior players, and it plays vital role to scout new talents to join Dubai clubs / U 13 Dubai Intercontinental Cup / Dubai Grassroots Football Festival / Football Academies Summer Tournament / Dubai International Basketball Championship for Juniors and several other programs & events.
