The cost of Qatar’s sovereign debt insurance rose 4 basis points from Friday’s close to 115 basis points after Arab countries gave Qatar a final deadline to meet its demands over sanctions imposed on Doha.
The list of demands included 13 demands, the most important of which was closing Al Jazeera, the reduction of relations with Iran, the closure of a Turkish base in Doha and the payment of compensation.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE have submitted a list of demands to Qatar, including the closure of Al-Jazeera, the reduction of relations with Iran, the termination of the Turkish military presence in its territory and other requests after the decision to sever its relations with Qatar on charges of supporting terrorism and interference in the internal affairs of some countries .
