St James, part of the Berkeley Group in conjunction with Knight Frank is launching White City Living, a new community in the heart of West London. Launching this week in The Middle East is the very first phase of the scheme, which offers in excess of 1470 new homes, shops, restaurants and community space, within 15 minutes of central London.

With architecture by Patel Taylor and interiors by Arney Fender Katsalidis, each of the homes has been designed with a private balcony or terrace, for residents to enjoy the views of the extensive grounds. Designed by Murdoch Wickham, the eight acres of open space include a new five-acre park and secluded gardens.

White City Living provides extensive residents’ facilities including a 24-hour concierge, residents’ lounges, café, business lounge, two 12 seater cinemas, games simulation room, plus fully-equipped health and fitness facilities, with gymnasium, swimming pool, vitality pool and treatment rooms. Security is assured with CCTV to all building entrance lobbies, car park and external areas.

The scheme is uniquely positioned to enjoy some of the world’s best shopping, with direct access to Westfield Shopping Centre. Currently undergoing a £1bn expansion, the centre is due to be the largest entertainment centre in Western Europe, with over 430 retailers, plus restaurants and a 17 screen digital cinema.

In addition, Imperial College London (ICL), a global top ten university is developing a new 25-acre campus adjacent to White City Living. The new White City Campus will expand ICL’s research and drive the next generation of scientific and technological breakthroughs. During the 2015-16 admissions process, 67% of those studying at Imperial College London were international students, demonstrating the need for local homes.

Tom Hawkins, Head of International Project Marketing (MENA) at Knight Frank commented, “White City Living is one of the most significant developments in West London, offering a mix of homes, shops and restaurants for the new community.

“Whilst the wider White City area is undergoing major regeneration, it consistently outperforms the London market and is a key area of opportunity for investment. This launch poses an opportunity for potential purchasers to buy into the very first release at one of West London’s largest urban regeneration projects”.

For transport, there are two tube stations at the entrance to the development (Wood Land and White City) providing access to three tube lines. Residents will be able to reach Bond Street in 14 minutes, Bank in 25 minutes and King’s Cross in 28 minutes.

Prices at White City Living start from £620,000, and completions start from Q3 2019.
