Oil prices rose on Thursday, and Brent crude futures rose by 0.2% to $ 61.98 a barrel, according to a report published by Mubasher.
The price of NYMEX crude futures settled at $ 55.36 a barrel.
The Energy Information Administration said that US production rose to the highest level since 1983 at 9.64 million barrels during the same period compared to 9.62 million barrels in the previous week.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC said this week that production fell by 151 thousand barrels per day during last October, according to Mubasher.
