Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum crowned Saif Al Mazrouei winner of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup – CEI*** 160 KM held at the Dubai Endurance Village at Seih al-Salam, Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed attended many stages of the race organised by the Dubai Equestrian Club in cooperation with the Emirates Equestrian Federation and under the supervision of Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).
Also attending the race were Dubai Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Dubai International Marine Club His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, and Saeed Humaid Al Tayer Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Meydan Group.
Rider Saif Ahmed Al Mazrouei finished the race (06:32:20) first. He was closely followed by Abdullah Ghanem Al Marri (06:32:21) who came in second. At the third place came Saeed Mohammed Al Muhairi (06:32:45).
The event saw the participation of over 1,200 male and female riders from 32 countries participated in the event which has become a key event on the world endurance calendar.
