Emirates NBD Egypt Has Been Awarded “Best Digital Bank” In 2017

ates NBD Egypt has been awarded the “Best Digital Bank” in Egypt for 2017 by International Finance Magazine; the world’s leader in monitoring the global finance community.

The award recognizes Emirates NBD Egypt’s leap in digital banking in 2017, bringing it to the forefront of the Egyptian banking market. Emirates NBD Egypt successfully reaped this award from among all banks operating in the Egyptian market. Its latest digital banking system has facilitated cash transfers and bill payments at any time and from any place through its mobile application, increasing customers’ trust in the bank as well as attracting new customers.

Emirates NBD Egypt’s strategy greatly relies on the significant increase in the number of Internet users and smartphone holders in the Egyptian market. The bank is a leader in providing digital services that cater to customers’ needs and allow them to conduct their day-to-day transactions without going to the bank branches. These services include Mobile Banking, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and APTRA Activate, making Emirates NBD Egypt the first in the Egyptian market to offer services that make banking experience as easy as using tablets and iPads.

 

The bank also introduced “MePay”, a distinct banking service that allows customers to transfer money using phone numbers in their contacts instead of bank account numbers through its mobile application. They can also pay more than 50 bills using Fawry, make credit card payments, instant transfers in Egyptian pounds even during weekends and holidays, issue fixed deposit certificates, checkbook requests, and exchange their reward points for cash or vouchers.
