Oil prices rose on Wednesday, with Brent crude futures rose by 0.5% to $ 61.25 a barrel, the highest level since December 2014, according to a report published by Mubasher.
Nymex crude futures rose by 0.6% at $ 54.71 a barrel.
The US Petroleum Institute said yesterday that US oil inventories fell 5.1 million barrels in the week ending October 27.
The Energy Information Administration is due to release US inventory data today.
